I’m a little bit saddened by this. I’d really thought that this guy was going to be an excellent choice for President. I was impressed with everything I’d read up to this point.
This doesn’t change the policies he wanted to implement, but it does make me lose trust in him as a person. Too bad.
I think this derails his chances. What a shame – not that this was exposed, but that he ever made those choices in his personal code of ethics.
Now I have seen instances where people exxaggerate and something is called something it is NOT in this overly politically correct world, but aren’t there NINE allegations from different women coming forward so far? That makes it tough to say ALL of them were bogus.
And (a bit off the topic of Cain) I always felt sorry for Monica Lewinsky, who told the truth about THAT man’s actions, and was publicly blamed and humiliated for it.
I am wiating for the dust to settle and for the truth to get out. I am disappointed also, but I am waiting to see if it is true and to what extent.
Clarence Thomas comes to mind. A liberal black man is ok.. but when a conservative black man comes into the scene they tear him apart. Anyone notice that? I didn’t see Obama get the same scrutiny and he has some pretty shady friends/business partners.
I agree with you Jenn. Best to have the FACTS and it seems awfully convenient for the other candidates for this to come out now.
urgh, I read this on NYTimes and I know this guy is a goner. The fact though is that most presidents (uh, maybe men in general?) have had to deal with sex charges.

It’s funny that after 20 years, now is when they are accusing him! He denies it! Innocent until proven guilty! I think he would do a great job straightening out this country!

I thought the same as others have about this situation with Cain. He seemed to be on a little bit of a winning streak and others didn’t like it all. Yes, how convenient for this scandal to come to light when it could’ve come out of the dark sooner. It should’ve came out sooner if all claims were true.
You are probably right. You’d think so, wouldn’t you, that he wouldn’t have even been able to get this far – and would have been advised not to try.
The sad thing is, I really liked his 9-9-9. I think it would have been good for us as a country.
The Dems are scared of Cain, which is why they have done so much digging. This seriously lessens a chance for presidential survival for Cain, which is too bad. I hate politics!!!
