I love it here at Poetry Inn in Napa.
I bet you would too. Maybe one day you will come and see it for yourself. I hope so!
It’s a place of peace and beauty, where every bit of tension or displeasure you didn’t even know you had seeps away, to be replaced with deep ease and appreciation.
Of the five glorious suites, The Robert Louis Steveneson Suite on the top floor is my favorite, followed by the Robert Frost downstairs, and then the Emily Dickinson on the mid-level.
Architect Howard Backen has simply done a brilliant job, and combined with the magnificent views, this is quite clearly the best designed boutique property anyone could ever wish to stay at, a seamless blend of esthetics, comfort and function.
You’ll have to indulgently excuse me for the brevity of this post.
I’m going to hedonistically take a nap in the middle of the afternoon, on the comfortable California King sized four poster bed, with the french doors open to the panoramic view of mountains,, vineyards, and blue sky beyond:)

It feels like God is here in these Cathedrals. If I didn't already believe - and I do - these would effortlessly convert me.
To see heaven in 3d is to visit a lovingly tended garden :)
Spend a few hours and enjoy all the different treasures inside!
Oh, that view… swoon! I can just see a piece of it off to the right of the photo but can just imagine waking up to it. Ahhh….
Good Monday morning to you Shari,
Right you are – It is heaven, a panoramic view of the Valley…
Dear Lord. What a gorgeously airy place. I love the name of this inn, too. It’s lyrical, both interior design wise and name wise!
Exactly Sophiia – you described it well!
Simply stunning – really, that’s all I can say
Enjoy!
Thank you Stephanie – it is wonderful here!
Maybe a lovely spot for you and husband to get away to for an anniversary sometime in the future:)
What else would you do in a room like that besides take a nap.
Well, maybe there are some other things but at this stage in my life, naps are pretty high on the priority list!
Looks like a divine place. Hope you are rested and renewed.
Ha-ha, how did you know I am planning on spending the day in bed, Merry:)?
It IS divine, you are so right!
Sweeeet !
Looks so peaceful. If they have a good restaurant nearby, then it’s all one needs…. aside from a good book and cold drink.
YW,
Oh yeah, sweet is right!
And there are some FABUULOUS restaurants within a ten minute drive – The French Laundry, Bistro Jeanty and Etoile at Domaine Chandon
Divine! This is a perfect place for you. Enjoy…
Thank you Sandy – it is!
LOVE IT!! I am loving anything with sunshine! It looks so peaceful and quiet!
ENJOY!
Jenn
Thank you so much Jenn! I definitely am enjoying every minute of it:)
Poetry Inn is an incredibly special place, with the most outstanding service.
This photo is extremely appealing. It looks so inviting! No wonder the post was short!
Hugs,
Betty
Hugs Back dear Betty – It is HUGELY inviting, you are right.
Am wondering how things are going at your house re; the kitchen.
Thinking of you.
I could probably stay in that bed for a week and write a novel in that beautiful sanctity. I see a room with that kind of light and my heart wants to go there. Right. Now.
Beautifully said, Kay:)
wow that is gorgeous!! I love that piece of furniture at the end of the bed:)

That cabinet you like houses a big flat screen television, that rises at the push of one of the buttons on the tv remote – how cool is that?!?

How is Sarge doing today, Bee?
((Hugs to you both))
Oh my, that looks amazing. I could easily nap there and I am not good at taking naps.
You were on my mind yesterday. I finally got a chance to use part of my gift certificate. It was divine! And, I am saving the rest of it for a combo 2 hour massage/facial deal that will happen in January. So excited about that! Thanks again!
You are so welcome, Jane Anne:)
I am happy it was so divine, and then you have another relaxing ‘you” day coming up in January.!
WOW this room looks AMAZING, would love to wake up every morning in that bed!!
